Thodoris Ziarkas is an improviser, double bassist and composer born in Rhodes, Greece and currently based in London. He is mainly involved with jazz, improvisation and folk music from around the world. One of his major project, Valia Calda, draws influences from jazz and Greek folk and tangles between electronic music and free improvisation. His solo double bass work, debut album "Monologue 01" was released in 2017. His new material culminated in a release entitled "Stillness", that was a result of an artist residency at Cinema Mele in Calabria, Italy.
Tom Sochas is a Franco-American was born and raised in Paris, France and moved to the UK in 2008. Tom is a very versatile pianist and composers. He is bandleader for Phoenician Blinds that was nominated for an UMA Award for Best Jazz Act 2018. He composes for theatre, recent work include five pieces for Maite Jáuregui's one woman show UNA.
Tim Atkins is a poet, playwright, and prose writer, and his work has been widely published in the USA, Canada, UK, and Europe. He is the author of many books, including Atkins Collected Petrarch (a Times Literary Supplement and Salon.com book of the year), Deep Osaka (a photobook), Koto Y Yo (all from Crater Press), On Fathers < On Daughtyrs (Boiler House Press), 25 Sonnets (The Figures), Petrarch (Book Thug), and Horace (O Books). A Girl is A Machine Made Of Birds—a collaborative collection of concrete & visual poems and assemblages made with his daughter, Yuki, has just been published by Canary Woof. He is also the author of a play: The World’s Furious Song Flows Through My Skirt (Stoma Press), and a novel The Bath-Tub (forthcoming from Boiler House Press). He has read and performed his work in the Houses of Parliament (for Pussy Riot), in concert at the Victoria & Albert Museum, and all over North America and Europe. His work has been translated into Spanish, Japanese, Catalan, French, and Lithuanian. Mother—a collaborative film-poem made with Graeme Maguire was a finalist at the Cyclop International Videopoetry Festival and at the Rabbit Heart Film festival in 2014. His poems have appeared in many anthologies, including The Penguin Book of the Prose Poem (2018) The Reality Street Book of the Sonnet, and Faber’s The Thunder Mutters (edited by Alice Oswald). The founder and editor of the long-running international online poetry journal, onedit, Tim teaches Creative Writing at the University of Roehampton. His current work is the long poem NOTHING CONCLUSIVE HAS YET TAKEN PLACE IN THE WORLD THE ULTIMATE WORD OF THE WORLD AND ABOUT THE WORLD HAS NOT YET BEEN SPOKEN THE WORLD IS OPEN AND FREE EVERYTHING IS STILL IN THE FUTURE AND WILL ALWAYS BE and sections are appearing in poetry journals in the USA, the UK, and Canada.
Maddalena Ghezzi is a singer, voice player, improviser and composer born in Milan and living in London. She is passionate and curious about using her voice in creative ways to discover new sounds. She is band leader for FUWAH, Stanza Da Tre and Wells Reflections. She collaborates with musicians and artists in different disciplines. recent works include Parasang 8 (Maurizio Ravalico//Pouya Ehsaei//Manana Records), If I were you (Maria Vatenina), Constellations (Kate Keara Pelen) and The Animal Choir.
